It seems like a very long time since I last wrote a blog post and since then a great deal has happened. It had been my intention to update you on at least a monthly basis. However, nobody told me just how busy I would be running the business side of things (something I will touch on in a future blogpost no doubt).
The Isle of Bute Candle Co is now 18 months old (a toddler in the business world) and things are developing at speed. We have been very lucky in the support we have received from our local, loyal customer base and have welcomed new stockists over the summer months. However, with this growth has come new challenges.
We’re on the move!
As many of you are aware we currently run our business from home and it is a typical “kitchen table business”. Needless to say the kitchen table is now getting a little over crowded and we have decided to take the bold step of securing a premises which will allow us to grow and develop over the coming months and years. We will move in at the end of October (just in time for the Christmas rush) and are pretty excited to be getting our kitchen table back.
We have lots of plans afoot with new fragrances planned for Christmas (watch this space!!!). We are also planning to have a stall at Scotland’s Spring Trade Fair in the SECC in January 2017 and we are currently negotiating with new stockists who should enable us to grow our brand and secure further exposure and publicity for the Isle of Bute.
The Isle of Bute Candle Co could not continue to flourish without the support of all of you – our loyal customers. Thank you for your continued support and look out for our new fragrances and at least one completely new product (we are venturing beyond candles) in the near future.
